This morning, a student at LCHS had a cell phone that was cracked. It began smoking in class. Seeing the smoke, the student threw the phone into one of the sinks in the science lab out of precaution, but it caused more smoke. The fire department was called due to the fire alarm. We have removed the phone from the building.
All students are safe. No one was injured.
