Procedures
Nomination Process:
*2 Parents can be elected at LCHS to sit on the SBDM council.
*Nominations will be submitted through e-mail only. All submissions will need to go to addisonburgess07@gmail.com
*Nominations will be from May 1-May 5 by 9pm. After that, NO more nominations will be accepted, and the nominee will be contacted to verify they want to be on ballot.
*The ballot will then be prepared for the official vote.
Voting:
*Voting will take place on Friday May 8th at LCHS.
*Voting will be from 5:30-7:30. No votes will count after 7:30. Voting will be conducted in the lobby at LCHS.
*There will be no absentee ballots, this is an in person voting only.
*Cassie Burgess is responsible for administering the election. Votes will be counted as soon as election is over, and the winners will be contacted.
Your child must be entering the 9th through 12th grade and attending LCHS.
Come on out and support the LCHS High School Band in their Spring Concert on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Louisa Methodist Church beginning at 7:00 PM! The Middle School Band will also hold its Spring Concert on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 3:00 PM at LMS!

The LCHS JROTC program's obstacle course is complete! The project took a fundraising initiative and was a collaborative effort between the carpentry, engineering, and heavy equipment classes!

Congratulations to the LCHS Mass Media Class for taking 2nd place in the state for STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program) Cinemania 2023! The Mass Media class submitted a short film in the Cinemania challenge. They had 48 hours to make a 3-minute short film!

LCHS Civil Engineering students took a field trip to visit the Louisa Locks and Dam on Thursday, April 20, 2023! This visit reinforced previous class lessons.

LCHS Senior English students attended Marshall University on April 17, 2023, for a workshop on learning to compile research information for their argumentative research papers. They also became familiar with Drinko Library and their staff on the MU campus.

Louisa West will be holding registration for Preschool and Kindergarten students on
April 28, 2023. The event will last from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church on West Pike Street! Please complete the online registration before attending the event!

Highlighting the LEES Safety Patrol Members for the 2022-2023 school year! They make sure fellow LEES students stay safe at morning drop-off and evening pick-up! They will be participating in the 56th Annual Ashland Safety School Trip from April 26-30th!

The LCHS JROTC program held its annual Military Ball on April 15, 2023, at the Paintsville Country Music Highway Museum! The JROTC students enjoyed a wonderful meal and danced through the evening!

Blaine Elementary Middle School students enjoyed their 8th-grade trip to Pigeon Forge, TN! The students enjoyed escape rooms, the Nascar Park, and eating at the Hard Rock Café and Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show!

LCHS announces the 2023 Bulldog Academy! All 9-12 grade students are welcome! LCHS Bulldog Academy will begin on May 31 and end on June 13, 2023. Students will attend from 9:00 AM- 2:30 PM each day! Register through the QR Code today!
