The LCHS hosted the Spring Bridge Day for 8th-grade students from Louisa Middle School, Fallsburg, and Blaine Elementary Schools. A scavenger hunt familiarized students with the building. They also participated in the Reality Store and other great sessions!

The LCHS had 20 students from Ms. Horn's biology classes join forces with other service groups for the Yatesville Lake Spring Clean-Up! The students enjoyed the fellowship and participating in this great community service event!

Congratulations to Mrs. Katie Adams, Pre-Nursing Instructor, along with her HOSA students who competed at state! Several students are continuing to the International HOSA competition in Texas during the last week of June! We wish you all the best of luck!

LCHS environmental science students visited the Blackhawk Mines located near Hazard, KY. Students felt it was a great learning experience, learning the pros and cons of coal production. The mining staff also stressed the importance of land reclamation.

Congratulations to LCHS senior, Jake Derifield on being selected for Marshall University's Yeager Scholarship! Jake plans to major in Biomedical engineering and neuroscience! We are so excited for Jake and his future endeavors!

LCHS hosted their second annual Music in our Schools Concert! Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Whalen, and Mr. Smith collaborated to provide an excellent musical presentation, along with the induction of Adam Chaffins, Elsie Jones, and Sam Lyon into the Hall of Fame!

LCHS is hosting its Spring Science Night on Thursday, March 28th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM! The community and parents are invited to attend the opening of the new Living Lab! Soil samples (pint size) may be analyzed by the environmental science and chemistry students! Come and enjoy a great evening!
Congratulations to LCHS seniors, Lacie Elkins, Laylen Hopson, and Kaine Music on being selected as finalists for the Dietrich Scholarship! These students will continue the interview process on April 16th! We are proud of them & wish each of them the best!
